Bugle Boy T-Shirt
You Can Feel It in the Air
The morning chill. A sudden cold snap. The first dusting of snow high in the mountains. And then you hear it—that unmistakable call of a bull elk somewhere in the distance.
The bugle.
It echoes across meadows, through timber, and off mountain slopes. It's one of those sounds that tells you fall has arrived in the Rockies.
The original artwork for the Bugle Boy T-Shirt was hand-drawn by Bryan Schaeffer after observing this magnificent bull elk at Mammoth in Yellowstone National Park during the fall rut. We watched as he bugled, postured, and went through the timeless rituals of preparing for romance and defending his harem.
He certainly seemed to know what he was doing. We're pretty sure he did well that year.
A hand-drawn tribute to crisp mornings, wild places, and one of the most unforgettable sounds of the Yellowstone autumn.
